Japanese scientists are developing a robotic hand that can mimic the movement of its controller's hand, potentially allowing people to issue firm handshakes to one another across vast distances. The sponge and silicon device is designed to run slightly hotter than a flesh-and-blood hand. "This makes people feel the robot hand is as warm as a real person," the researchers explain.
