Accenture says it plans to open a software-development and support center in Austin, Texas, to provide IT consulting and services to state health agencies. The company is slated to hire 300 people for the center by the end of 2013. "Austin has a great mix of software and public-sector people, and we need that expertise. So far we've had terrific response to the center and we're finding the right skills," Accenture's Stephen Rohleder says.
