Fla. city manager urges resident aid to achieve "preferred future"

Cape Coral, Fla., City Manager John Szerlag says the average homeowner should contribute about $250 annually to help the city achieve economic sustainability, rather than continue on a road to blight. "We are already on a path to a blighted community based on previous decisions," he said during a meeting to update the strategic plan.
