Many regional Fed presidents support bond purchases

Presidents of the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston, Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis and New York have publicly supported the central bank's policy of buying $85 billion in bonds per month. The policy should remain "large-scale asset purchases of Treasury and mortgage-backed securities through this year," said Eric Rosengren, president of the Boston Fed.
