Report: NBC is prepping for potential Lauer exit from "Today"

Although NBC is officially denying that it's considering replacing Matt Lauer on "Today," the network is looking at potential replacements, according to New York Post sources. NBC reportedly wants to be prepared if "Today" ratings take a further dip or if Lauer opts to leave the show prior to his contract ending in 2014. The speculation over who might replace Lauer seems to have given "Today" a lift, with the show this past week surpassing "Good Morning America" in the 25-to-54 demographic.
