Review finds limited data on pediatric surgery outcomes

Hospital-related factors were substantially linked to better outcomes in very rare, more complex pediatric surgeries, while surgeon-level variables played a more vital role in common procedures, a review of 63 studies showed. However, researchers said experience-related outcomes data was limited for pediatric surgery. The findings appear in the journal JAMA Pediatrics.
