Survey: 43% of family physicians report burnout

The 2013 Medscape physician lifestyle survey found 39.8% of respondents overall said they were burned out, with family physicians ranking third-highest on the list at 43%, behind emergency medicine and critical care physicians. Data showed specialties with the highest percentage of burned-out physicians also tended to report greater burnout severity.
