Wal-Mart may recruit shoppers to deliver online orders

In its push to offer same-day delivery on online orders, Wal-Mart is exploring the idea of signing up regular customers to deliver packages to people who happen to be on their route home from the store, in exchange for a discount on their own purchases. "This is at the brain-storming stage, but it's possible in a year or two," said Wal-Mart senior vice president Jeff McAllister.
