Workplace weight-loss programs show results, study says

Work sites may be fertile grounds for weight-loss programs, according to research from Tufts University and Massachusetts General Hospital published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Data from two Boston workplaces found employees who participated in a six-month weight-loss program lost an average of more than 17 pounds, compared with a control group that averaged a 2-pound gain.
