A concrete diving tower project at an aquatic complex in Ontario, Canada, required engineer Dennis Schincariol to work through several design and construction challenges, he said. "From the get-go, everybody saw the diving tower as the centerpiece of the building. The owners wanted it to be very eye-catching -- to almost look like it was carved out of stone," Schincariol said. The tower is 50 feet tall and features cast-in-place concrete stairs and five diving platforms.
