How CSOs are taking over the C-suite

Chief sustainability officers are increasingly taking on key strategic roles in their companies, says Will Sarni, a director at Deloitte Consulting. Very few corporate functions now operate without some degree of input from CSOs, Sarni explains. "The CSO is increasingly involved in business operations, business decision-making, the introduction of new products and services, and global environmental and social issues," he says.
