IFA meets with House whip to amend ACA's full-time definition

Coalition leaders from the IFA, the Retail Industry Leaders Association, the National Retail Federation and the American Hotel and Lodging Association met on Wednesday with House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., in support of a bill that proposes a change in the Affordable Care Act's definition of full-time employees to those who work 40 hours per week, up from 30 hours. The bill is expected to go before the House of Representatives next week, but it is unlikely to pass in the Senate if approved by the House.
