Internal bra receives CE mark

Israel-based Orbix Medical has received approval to market in Europe an internal bra that is affixed to rib bones beneath the breasts to prevent sagging. "About 8% of malpractice lawsuits are related to sagging after a breast lift. So there was a need," said inventor and plastic surgeon Eyal Gur, who worked with physicists and engineers to ensure safety and efficacy. The harness is affixed to the ribs using specialized sutures and micro-titanium screws, and one surgeon said it could eventually have applications in face-lifts and abdominoplasty.
