Paleo-friendly, gluten-free recipes send home cooks to the store

Consumers are searching online for "Paleo-friendly food" and ethnic flavors, with gluten-free remaining a top trend, according to the 2014 Global Kitchen Insights and Trend Survey released by AllRecipes.com. The types of recipes consumers search for lend insight into the ingredients they will buy, as almost half of home cooks hit the store for ingredients within 48 hours of finding recipes online. Other top searches included comfort foods such as meatloaf and meatballs; breakfast items such as crepes, pancakes and waffles; and vegetables such as cauliflower, kale and asparagus.
