SEC faces pressure to cut stake-disclosure window

Investors who own 5% or more of stock in a company have 10 days to disclose the amount of their stake. The Securities and Exchange Commission is facing pressure to reduce that time frame because of concerns about leaks. The Dodd-Frank Act gives the SEC authority to shorten the disclosure window, but the agency has yet to act.
