Study suggests telemedicine as a solution for challenges of overnight care

Researchers whose work was published in the journal Telemedicine and e-Health suggest telemedicine could allow hospitals to make better use of resources overnight, when patient admissions are lower and staffing is reduced. "Telemedicine is most effective when applied where physician resources are scarce, patient care is time sensitive and service volume may be distributed across a network," they wrote.
