Technology for color blindness also helps nurses find veins

Medical personnel faced with the prickly problem of finding viable arm veins for blood draws or IV insertions may get some help from technology originally intended to aid people with color blindness. The Eyes-On-Glasses device from Evena Medical uses multispectral 3D imaging to highlight otherwise hard-to-find veins, with the images transmitted wirelessly by two digital cameras.
