Congressman wants lead out of candy wrappers

Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., has introduced federal legislation calling for lead to be removed from candy wrappers, a move designed to push the Consumer Product Safety Commission into action. Last August, Mars recalled four of its Mexican-made candies after government tests revealed elevated levels of lead.
