In2Books lets busy adults tutor school kids

Time-strapped professionals can still squeeze in volunteer work, thanks to In2books, a reading and mentoring program that matches pupils with adult pen pals. During the school year, more than 6,000 students in second- through fifth-grade and about 3,000 adults around the country trade e-mails to discuss books selected by a panel of children's literature experts.
