Ahold revises outlook, prepares to name new U.S. chief

Royal Ahold announced its sales this year will not grow as much as it originally forecast, citing competitive pressures. Speculation about splitting up the company was damped down by the company's CFO, who said, "We believe that holding the company together there will be more synergies and value for shareholders." The company is expected to name a new CEO for its U.S. division next week.
