Bluetooth 2.1 aims to get devices communicating faster

With Bluetooth awareness at 81% in the end-user market, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group believes the timing is on target for Bluetooth version 2.1 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), which reduces the steps needed to pair devices. Nokia cell phones and a Plantronics stereo headset will be among the first Bluetooth 2.1 devices to debut.
