Scottish hospital says yes to RFID:

A Scottish hospital will install RFID tags in devices such as infusion pumps and monitors in its receiving wards and emergency room based on the results of a four-month test of asset tracking software and RFID data. Using RFID could augment or even eliminate the need for equipment libraries, save costs and offer personnel an accurate record of locations of medical devices.
