Cloud-computing standards urged to broaden interoperability

Experts at the Strategies and Technologies for Cloud Computing Interoperability meeting recently said that standards are needed for cloud computing as it is still in its infancy. Winston Bumpus, president of the Distributed Management Task Force, said standards will help boost interoperability of cloud-computing technology. Improved interoperability will help give government agencies more options when looking for Web-based solutions.
