Airbus, Boeing want to change rules on aircraft finance

Government guarantees for bank loans that underwrite aircraft sales are based on the type of plane, with restrictions tighter for larger craft. Boeing and Airbus want to change this as smaller aircraft -- namely Bombardier's CSeries -- become more in demand. "We want a one-size-fits-all agreement," said Nigel Taylor, senior vice president of aircraft finance at Airbus. "You can't have one claiming it's a regional plane and another saying it's a big jet, when they market them for serving the same market range."
