Caterpillar's CEO-elect says free trade is vital to future

Doug Oberhelman, vice chairman and CEO-elect of Caterpillar, says free trade is vital for the company to remain competitive in the global market. Caterpillar's ability to trade in China and other emerging markets has kept the company profitable during this recession. Oberhelman said global economic recovery would be slower if the products of some countries were kept out of the U.S. or if tariffs made them too expensive.
