September 11 memorial on track to open by 10th anniversary

The National September 11 Memorial at the site of the World Trade Center in Manhattan is more than halfway complete, with the vast majority of steel and concrete already in place. The project, which includes green space and a museum, is on schedule to open on the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in 2011. Additionally, to help refund its debt, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has planned a $116.8 million bond sale.
