Dogs suffering from osteoarthritis showed improved mobility and reduced pain associated with the illness after being fed foods containing high concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids, according to recent studies published in the Journal of the AVMA. The findings also revealed that pain-relief drugs used in combination with proper diet could lead to reduced complications in severe cases of canine osteoarthritis.
