TSA promises "partnership" in formulating GA security rules

After a previous iteration of the Large Aircraft Security Program drew more than 9,000 negative comments from aviation stakeholders, the Department of Homeland Security is starting from scratch with a series of public meetings designed to come up with a more palatable alternative. Brian Delauter, TSA's general manager for general aviation, says the goal is to promote a sense of partnership rather than confrontation. "We'll be ten times more secure in partnership than without it," he says. The first public meeting on the new LASP could be held at the Westchester County Airport in White Plains, N.Y.
