Iberdrola Renewables presents plan for N.Y. wind project

Iberdrola Renewables gave a presentation of its proposed North Ridge Wind Farm to residents of two upstate New York towns. Iberdrola said it has signed leases with at least 15 property owners but would need to study 12 months of wind data before deciding on the project. If the wind farm is built, landowners could receive about $8,000 to $10,000 annually for a single wind turbine on their property, the company said.
