Online courses help students meet graduation requirements

Students in some Illinois school districts are using computer-based courses to recover failed or missing credits they need for graduation. Educators say the courses also can be used to supplement traditional instruction when students miss class for an extended time and can be tailored to target only the concepts not yet mastered by an individual student. Some districts are planning to offer online courses to students seeking additional challenges as well.
