Best Buy closing 50 stores in response to Web competition

Best Buy is closing 50 of its big-box stores and will move to a phase of complementing its remaining retail outlets with small ones selling mobile. CEO Brian Dunn said that earlier changes to the Best Buy business model, based on fierce competition from Internet rivals such as Amazon, were working too slowly or had been ineffective.
