NIH makes cloud-based genetic database available

NIH officials announced that the world's largest set of human genomic variation data, a 200-terabyte data set, is now available for public access through the cloud-based Amazon Web Services. The data set was developed by the international research group 1000 Genomes Project with support from the NIH and other institutes.
