W.Va. wellness effort increases access to exercise, healthy foods

The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department's two-year wellness program "Change the Future, West Virginia" added walking trails, increased fresh produce in grocery stores and worked with the Winter Farmers Market in downtown Parkersburg. "We've been able to get more physical activity for children, tobacco-free parks, and things we hope will have a lasting benefit to the community," said health department Executive Director Dick Wittberg.
