Ill. farm group opposes biotech labeling proposal

The Illinois Farm Bureau has spoken out against a bill from state Sen. Dave Koehler, D-Peoria, to require firms to label products that contain biotech ingredients. The proposal could stigmatize biotech crops, the group said. Summer hearings are expected on the bill.
