Study: Successful HCV therapy improves liver fibrosis

Patients with both HIV and hepatitis C virus had better chances of liver fibrosis regression if they achieved lasting clearance of hepatitis-RNA following antiviral treatment, Spanish researchers reported. They said that not having HCV treatment increases the risk of advanced fibrosis.
