Trees on top of skyscrapers? Not a good idea

Building designs that include trees as part of a green roof on top of skyscrapers may not be a feasible idea, writes Kristen Avis. Trees could easily become weakened and die on top of towers because they're exposed to extreme winds and temperatures. They are much more likely to survive atop residential homes or apartment blocks, or in street-level landscaping, Avis notes.
