Boeing takes steps to get 787 back on schedule

Boeing said it will purchase Vought Aircraft Industries' interest in an assembly plant in South Carolina as part of a plan to get the production schedule of its 787 jetliner back on track. Vought and other 787 suppliers have struggled to keep the jetliner on schedule, leading to production delays. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
