Indian hospital establishes public stem cell bank

The Narayana Health City hospital in Bangalore, India, has opened a public stem cell bank called the Rotary Narayana Tissue Bank and Stem Cell Research Centre. The bank aims to have 300,000 samples for patients in the country and abroad, and it will process, screen and store human tissues, including skin, heart valves and bone cartilage.
