New YouTube design will put premium content in the spotlight

While YouTube became a household brand as the result of its hosting of homemade video clips, its future appears to be in premium content. A planned redesign of the site will feature tabs differentiating professional, long-form content such as network shows and movie clips from run-of-the mill cat videos, testimonials, lip-synchs and other amateur fare.
