Tennessee elementary-school students are MAD for science

Students at two elementary schools in Tennessee's Knox County are conducting experiments in science labs that are staffed full-time. Students learn through hands-on projects and use math to complete their work in the Making and Developing scientists -- or MAD -- labs. The labs make science fun and more enjoyable than worksheets, students say.
