The global economic downturn brought a corresponding drop in the world's carbon emissions, say climate scientists. The 11% decline in global greenhouse-gas output isn't all good news, though. Researchers say it could drive down carbon prices in areas with trading programs, making it easier for companies to keep polluting at current levels.
