Fed is "committed" to swipe-fee reform, Bernanke says

Chairman Ben Bernanke said the Federal Reserve will not meet an April deadline for a rule capping debit card swipe fees, but the central bank remains "committed to completing the rule making" before a July 21 deadline. The Fed proposed a fee cap in December, but some lawmakers are seeking a two-year delay. Read FMI's statement.
