Health plans for federal workers told to beef up wellness efforts

The Office of Personnel Management told health plans in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program to reinforce their focus on improving wellness and controlling prescription drug spending to hold down costs. The OMP said insurers are expected to offer incentives for participation in wellness plans and create obesity-reduction programs or report results for existing initiatives.
