NGOs warn Thailand on free trade deal with U.S.

Nongovernmental organizations urged the government of Thailand to exclude medicines from free trade negotiations with the U.S., saying the agreement could send drug prices soaring. The NGO representatives say Thailand could be forced to halt production of generic drugs under the anticipated free trade pact.
