Official: New Orleans recovery could take 25 years

A full recovery in New Orleans, including restoration of housing, safety and private investment, could take up to 25 years, according to the Bush administration's Gulf Coast recovery coordinator. Meanwhile, the cost estimates for repairing levees in the city have climbed $5.9 billion over the $3.5 billion that the administration has sought to repair the flood control system.
