Colon cancer patient describes own "idiocy" in delaying screening

A 54-year-old colon cancer patient, Rick Smith, says talking about his own "idiocy" in not getting a colonoscopy sooner rather than later may help spur people to get tested and has caused other patients to share their stories. Smith describes how he keeps a diaper under his desk at work because he never knows when the side effects of his colon cancer might strike.
