Mass. considers lowering age of blood donors

Lawmakers in Massachusetts are considering lowering the age for blood donations. Currently, 17-year-olds need parental permission to be donors, and younger people are prohibited from donating. The legislation would allow 16-year-olds with parental permission to donate and 17-year-olds would no longer need permission.
