N.C. university officials push for nanotech institute

Officials at several research universities in North Carolina are pushing for the establishment of the N.C. Translational NanoMedicine Institute. The planned nonprofit institute would help provide incentives for startup firms and allow academic, industry and government researchers to translate their nanotechnology strategies into clinical applications, one expert said.
