Fargo floodwaters subside, but waves endanger levees

The levees in Fargo, N.D., are in trouble as a blizzard sweeps through the area, creating large waves capable of damaging temporary sandbag walls. Engineers are on the scene to reinforce the levees, but officials acknowledge there's no way to know whether the walls will hold. The Red River has begun to recede from its peak of more than 40 feet, but it is expected to take days for the river to subside significantly and officials say it could still rise again.
