San Jose quake reveals new fault

Scientists discovered a new fault when a magnitude 4.3 earthquake hit California's Santa Clara Valley, about 16 miles from San Jose. No damage was reported from Monday's quake. Scientists estimate there is an 11% chance that the nearby Calaveras Fault will see a quake with a magnitude of at least 6.7 in the next 25 years.
